Gushing with Caidyn and Chantel

Gushing with Caidyn and Chantel

The rules are:

  • Pick one thing that you’re really into this week
  • Gush about it

Literally, that’s it. That’s all you have to do for this.

It’s not exactly a tag so there aren’t huge rules. It’s more for Chantel and I to branch out into some new things. This was created as a book blog, but we love music, TV, movies, podcasts, video games, etc. And we want to talk about it more with you.

It’s just going to be Caidyn again!

Top Ten Tuesday – Back to School

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!

Technically, I’ve been in school a week now. So I have no clue what everyone’s on about with this one! It’s a freebie, so I’m kind of talking about books I read for school or anything else. Some have reviews I wrote, some don’t. And there will only be seven this time!

Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole is a meme created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

IT WORKS LIKE THIS:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Guess who jumped the gun while bored at work again? Meeeeee!

I went through and purged a lot but it was random and yeah. We’re still doing this but you all will be so proud of the number at the end!

First Lines Friday

First Lines Friday

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

Another post that Caidyn will be doing on his own! He’s not going to do the color coding like usual with this!
