Top Ten Tuesday – Inspirational/Thought-Provoking Book Quotes

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!

While I don’t always pay attention to quotes, I do have ones that I cherish or keep remembering at different times in my life. So, let’s dive into them!

Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole is a meme created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

IT WORKS LIKE THIS:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Also, I’m doing another impromptu life update at the end of this post. Yes, it’s related to my sister.

Book Blogger’s Two Truths and a Lie

I was tagged by the ever wonderful Virginia! She always thinks of me with tags and, honestly, I love it! I’m very excited to do this one today!

  • Create a post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie – but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess!
  • Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post (you can use this HTML code! Just change the “S” in Summary to a lowercase)

Note: put it in HTML option rather than visual!

But, let’s see if anyone can guess my bookish secret.

Top Ten Tuesday – (First Ten) Books I Reviewed

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!

Cue embarrassment. Oh man. Our first book reviews for this blog. I’m not going over to Goodreads because that’s too much work, but I’m doing our first 10 books that were reviewed on this blog. Let the embarrassment begin!

Also, at the end of this post, I’m going to fill y’all in about what’s going on in my life. There have been some hard times the past few days and I wanted to let people know. I’ve been open on Instagram and Goodreads, but I know not all of you follow us there.

Unsolvedathon check-in #3

Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of Top Ten Tuesday

We’re nearly done and y’all are nearly finished with me giving these updates! This week, I read two more of the books, putting me at 9/10! That means, one book left! I’m a bit excited, tbh. I’ve loved doing this readathon, but it’s been a lot of work. But, let’s get to my reviews of what I read.

First Lines Friday

First Lines Friday

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!
