November Wrap-up

Another month down with one more to go! It’s insane how fast this year has gone and, honestly, I’m happy to see the back end of it.

But, let’s see how I did this month with reading.

This month, I read 27 books with an average rating of 3.4! Not as great as October, but I’m still really pleased with that rating. I did DNF a few more books than October, so that makes sense of the rating.

I read:

4/5 stars! I enjoyed this one, although I had my problems with it. I’d recommend it to others and I’m excited to see if there’s a sequel.

2/5 and a DNF. One of those wrong timing books, I think. And I learned that perhaps I shouldn’t try buddy reading long fantasy books since it doesn’t always turn out well.

1/5 and another DNF. I got really far into this one, too, before I called it quits. Quite a few people will like this one, but I’m not one.

1/5 and yet another DNF. This is another one that I know people will love, but after 30% and nothing really happening, I couldn’t continue.

4/5! I enjoyed this one a lot. It was in the same vein as the mysteries coming out these days, but it also was different. I enjoyed it. This review will be posted in December.

3.5/5! This was one of my highly anticipated 2019 releases and I feel so blessed that I received an ARC of this. It was a lot of fun and I think, once I get my finished copy, a binge is in order.

5/5! Does that rating surprise anyone? I think not.

4/5! This was one of those I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy, but I did. I thought it was a nice read and I can see why it’s one of King’s classics. This review will be up in December!

4/5! I’m loving all the Greek mythology releases this year. And I’m super glad that I got to this one. A quick and interesting read. The review for it will be posted in December.

3.5/5! Yeah, I’m still not sure how I feel about this book. I liked it, but I didn’t. It’s an interesting one that’s hard to rate.

1/5 and a DNF! I wasn’t a fan of it. I barely got a couple chapters into it before I decided I couldn’t bring myself to go further.

4/5! Dan Jones is one of my favorite medieval history authors, so I was basically guaranteed to like this. And I did!

4.5/5! Even reading this nearly a month ago, I’m still shocked by it. Definitely one of the best reads from this month.

4/5! This is the book that made me want to give Furyborn another try. I enjoyed it, even if I had some issues with thematic elements.

4/5! Another one that I enjoyed but had issues with some of the elements in the story. Solid girl power book, though, and I’m loving it.

1/5 and a DNF! I just couldn’t get through this book. It was a second try for me and, well, it wasn’t going to happen.

4/5! I was almost surprised by how much I liked this book, but I really did. It was superbly done and it left me wanting more.

4/5! I’ve had this on my radar for a while. This month, I decided that it was time to read some humorous historical nonfiction. And, I enjoyed it.

4/5! This is the last book I had to read for my Top Ten Books to read in 2018. And, I did enjoy it. Solid book and the review for it will be posted in December.

  • Penguin Monarchs series

Since I have a ton of these that I bought, I read a few this month. George VI (4 stars), Elizabeth II (3 stars), and Victoria (4 stars). They’re only posted on Goodreads since they’re short reviews.

  • More textbooks!

And, finally, textbooks. Yep. They’re here. I reviewed them shortly on Goodreads but didn’t feel like putting them on here. Theory, Policy, Practice, and books for practicum. All got 4/5 stars.

Talk to me!
What were your favorite books from November?
